Alicia Jones is a registered nurse, community health advocate, nursing educator, and founder of CityStreetRN.

Her experience includes bedside and emergency nursing, community health, behavioral health, correctional healthcare, medication-assisted treatment, chronic-disease education, and outreach with people experiencing homelessness.

Why She Founded CityStreetRN

Alicia founded CityStreetRN after recognizing that many underserved and underinsured residents needed trustworthy health education and support in the places where they already lived, gathered, and sought assistance. She believed nurses could help close that gap by bringing knowledge, compassion, monitoring, and connections to healthcare resources directly into the community.

Under Alicia's leadership, CityStreetRN has:

  • ✓Provided hundreds of community health encounters
  • ✓Established relationships with shelters and local organizations
  • ✓Developed bilingual outreach programs
  • ✓Engaged student and professional volunteers
  • ✓Created community-supported campaigns responsive to local needs

A Message From Alicia

"Healthcare should not depend on whether someone has transportation, stable housing, insurance, or the ability to navigate a complicated system. Sometimes the first step toward better health is having a nurse willing to meet you where you are, listen, explain, and help you find the next step."
